The two battled side-by-side until Higgi ns stalled the thumper on lap six and coul dn't restart it, Peak said, " H iggi ns wo u ld eat me up in the straights and corners, but I could take him in the wh oops. I don 't see how he rode that big 600 so fast on an MX track." Higgins said, "I stripped my countershaft sprocket and broke the chain in the heat, but it was fun for a while in the ' main." .
