Shirey co n tin ued to lead , as Clark a nd Meng ta ng led and went dow n. T he two rid ers scr amb led 10 remou nt, and sli ced th ro ug h th e pack 10 regain their positions. Shirey took an easy win o ver Meng , who topped Clark for second. Shirey grabbed a no ther hol eshot in the second round, bu t Meng sli d past on th e sno w-covered tra ck as th e pa ck began la p two.
