Tim Hal lisay powered hi s Yamah a into third, and hunted down th e leaders. Hallisay overtook Wenstrup a nd took seco nd behind Backes a t the end of th e moto. Backes took th e hol esh ot in the seco nd mot o; leading Wen strup and Rog er H auptman o nto th e icy track. Backes proceeded 10 pull away for th e win , while Wen strup held Hauptman . a t bay 10 fin ish second. Backes took th e overall win over Wenstrup and Hallisay.
