Kawasaki R&D rider Mike Fisher wrapped up the overall victory in t he 250cc Pro class w ith 1-2 moto scores. Green way prevailed, and too k second ahead of Wood and Murray, who had made an incredible harge th ro ug h the pack. Rex Staten grabbed the holeshot in th e second moto, with Zahrt, ohoson a nd Murray trailing. Murray qu ickl y displaced J ohnson an d worked on Zahrt for a good portion of the moto, Once past Zahrt, Murray reeled in Staten and slid past on a short straigh taway. Murray took th e w in a head o f Sta ten, Za hrt a nd oh nson. First overall went to M urray, who 's 4-1 sco re top ped J ohnso n's 1-4 a nd Sta ten's 6-2. . T he 500cc J u n ior race was won by Jerry Ehlers, after h e held off J oh n Nea ry a n d Ed ward Gauley, w ho came from the back o f th e pack to take th ird. T ravis Mull ins ra n up fro m ea rly in the rno to , but los t control of h is ATK in a slippery turn. Mullins had better luck in the 25 0cc Juni or divisi on two race , however, as he holeshot th e rno to a nd proceeded 10 la p nea rl y half of the field. William H arnage stayed up to la ke second ove r Greg Pusley and Ed Soper, both o f whom looked quite miserabl e in th e wet co nditions. Chris R idgeway holes hot the 125cc Intermed ia te division o ne race a head of J oe Bruce and Pa l Gomm. Bru ce muscled his way past R idgewa y on a slimy straightaway and opened lip a co m fo rtable lead. Ri dgewa y finished seco n d , we ll ahead of Gomm an d Dan U lven. Kaw asaki Team Green ride rs J oel A l b rec h t a nd T ommy C low ers blasted th e 250cc I nterm edia te d ivision o ne race, as th ey p ulled o ut 10 co m fo rta b le I -2 fi n ish es, respectively. Ra ym ond Anthony an d Cole Gress arg ued o ver th ird place, but Anthony came out o n to p on his SCR -ba cked Suzuki. Divisio n two of the 250cc Int ermediate class was dominated by a nother Team Green rider, Derek Nat vig, Natvig pulled out to a commanding lead over Dan Ulven and Chri s R idge way, who had work ed up from a poor start. Eddie R eed holes hot th e 500cc Interm edia te ra ce ahead o f An dy Grider a n d Kevi n Fringer. R eed push ed h is Yamaha YZ360 out to a co m forta ble lead, a nd looked to have th e win in th e bag, but close to th e end of th e race he ca me up short o n a double an d paned co m pany with his b ike. This wa s a ll Grider n eeded as h e slid into th e lead an d across th e finish line. Reed rem ounted in time to save seco nd, but didn 't have enough tim e to reta ke the lead. Fringer rode 10 a co nserva tive th ird p lace finish . The Vet J unior class h ad a few o f th e in d us t ry's i n si d er s en te re d; FMF's Don Em ler, Jim H al e ofAXO Sport, a nd P aul Ikeda of Am er ican Honda. Hale ro de a stea dy sixth pl ac e finish , Ik eda scored 13th while Em ler had a wild ride to 12th pl a ce. St eve Lawler scored th e win ove r J ohn Mazor a nd Arnie Fry. Lex Mahan took the 80cc Beginner victory over Paul Ito, who tr ied Jimmy Varis (25) grabs the 60cc class lead ahead of Jason Shirey (72). overall w inner John Meng (221) and Reg inald Mitchell (2 2 M ). every th ing to take th e win.
