Bru ce Sco tt and Tom Shi vers were side by side for almost a lap befo re Shi vers go t the ad van tage. Fisher held a 10-yard lead o n H yson as Scott pushed Sh ivers everywhere. Fina lly with two laps to go Sco tt took hi s A.R . Smit h H o nda under Sh ivers in turns·on e a nd two. At th e checkered nag it was Fish er , H yson , ScOll and Shivers.
