The fin al heat was almost a carbo n copy of th e seco nd o ne. Koci nski got a flyer of a start a nd left th e pack behind. He nursed hi s lead from th e front, reading hi s board and holding off Garrig-a aft er Garriga had pulled clear of Po ns. Cardus lost third place overall to Kocinski wh en hi s tire went off a nd he was pa ssed by hard-ch arg in g teen ager Barros.
