the lead. Mark Klouser tried to hold off Doggett for th ird, but Doggett sailed past over th e tabletop a nd set after Stanton. Casada 's Su zuki threw its cha in o n th e last lap, handing the win to Sta nton. Doggett, Klouser and Tyler Hummel followed Stanto n across the fin ish line. This left Staten in seco nd, but Nelson jumped past him to finish behind Vohland. Pestana claimed his seco nd hol eshot o f th e day in mot o two, but close behind were Staten , Eddie Hicks a nd Nelson. Hicks forc ed hi s way past Staten, as did Vohland a lap later. Vohl and took second from Hicks when he o u t-d ista nced th e KTM rider on th e tabletop, then proceeded to reel in Pestana a nd took th e lead for good. Pestana o nce again stuc k to Vohland's rear fender , bu t missed a shift over a jump and went down hard. Vohl and took th e moto win a nd overa ll , a head o f H icks, Staten and Nelson. Sta ten's 3-3 topped Nelson 's 2-4 for th e runner-up position. Scott Ni ckerson star ted first in th e opening 500cc Intermediate moto, but hot o n his tail wer e Chris Ridgeway and Eddie Reed. Ridgeway forced his way past in the second turn, taking th e lead from Ni ckerson. ~ WlliM' ~ v ...0 o ...... u o Jeff Pestana (71, Rex Staten (3), Eric Sandstrom (1) and Vohland line up for turn one in the 500cc Pro class. Reed bounced past N ickerson in the wh oops, chased after Ridgeway and took over the lead on lap five. Reed cruised to the win ahead o f Ridgewa y, N ickerson and Bob J ohnson. Ridgew a y sa i led past J ohnson a nd set a fter Reed , but al though Ridgeway made repeated a ttem pts to pass, Reed held his lines a nd took th e moto win.
