Norway took fifth p lace in the Sin gle Lap contest, wh ile Italy ro unded out th e top five in Average Laps. Bellini shot off the start ing li ne first , bu t by turn three had fall en to fou rth behi nd Elliot, Gran ie and Reimer. Nisbet hung to ugh wi th th e lead pack in fifth for a few laps, but co uld not consis tent ly mat ch th eir pace and soo n dr opped back.
