Conley holeshot , he lirst 250cc pzo mo to with Ron Allen a nd Shaun WOOlen in chase. Woo ten passed Allen in the a ir over th e stadium jump and set his sights o n Q)nley. A hall-lap la ter, wi th Wooten co iled '0 stri ke, Conley crashed back 1 third handing Ihe lead 0 to Wooten. Co n ley rem oun ted , gOI by Allen and ca ug ht Wooten, bu t time ran o UI a nd WOOlen scored the win. Allen linished third behind Co nley with Yam aha-moun,ed Mik e Nt'Wman in fourth. Wool en sel the pace in moto two with Allen bauling Con ley clos e behind. The 500cc Pro s ran with the Intermed iates but attention focused o n two Pro regulars: Conley and Clayto n Blood.
