On April 23, while most of the rest of the country was watching the Laguna 'Seca U.S. 500cc GP on their local NBC affiliate, WOTV (Channel 8) in Grand Rapids, Michigan, opted instead to telecast an NBA game aired by CBS. That's right, our NBC representative decided not to carry a one-hour motorcycle race in favor of crossing networks for something as rare as basketball.
