Partridge's second series championship came in the 80cc Open class where he again came out with 325 points aft er winning both motos at Glen H el en . Chris Wh eel er and Rund tied for second in the points standings, but Wh eel er 's pair of seconds in the fin al ro und topped Rund's 3-3. Yearsley fin ished th e serie s in fourth place, on e point ahead of Meng. T eam Green Kawa saki 's Ra y Crumb picked up th e series titl e in the 250cc Intermedi ate class and ended th e da y with a 1-4 rnoto ta lly to take seco nd overall behind Cagivamounted Bubba Erickson 's pair of seconds. . Fortunately for Crumb, all he had 10 do was finish among th e top 10 in th e finalrnoto to take the seri es championship. Crumb topped Eddi e Reed 's 329 points by 17 points.
