Fall Na tio na ls MX Series a t Rolling Hills Cycle Par k. Caven Woodruff took his fourth win o f the series in the 0-85cc (7-11) division wi th the 125 and 250cc Pro class wins going to Andrews a nd Da m o n Br adshaw, respec tively. , Cantrell was the pa cesett er in both O ~ 85cc (12-15) motos as Kenn y Frit h an d J aso n Morgart clashed in bo th motos over second. Morgart's hi gh er finish in the final leg gave him seco nd o verall behind Cantre ll wit h Fr i th . P a trick Greer a nd Chuck Shirley ro u nd ing out the top five. Su per Mini class action saw Cantrell carry hi s momen tum to a no ther swee p with G reer keeping him hon est for a close seco nd Frith rode to a well -earned third o vera ll follo wed by the Yamah a of Ga ge Fortson. " T he 125cc Schoolboy Class went to S & M Suzuki/ Sharpe Bro s.-sponsored Jim Neese after two mot e-l ong batt les with MIke Marti n. The firs t mot o saw Ma rt in laki ng the win by a bike len gth o ver Neese wit h Dale H ill th ird . Neese came on stro ng in mot o two a nd locked up the overall with a win over Martin and H ill. Yamaha of Lumberton's Bria n Bra d ner gated fifth in the first 125cc Novice moto but wit hin a few la ps had taken the lead away from earl y leaders Ch uck Green a nd Chris Messer. J ason Everhart kept pace with Bradner and worked through the pa ck to finish seco nd over Messer and Troy Brewer. with Dav id Hill rakin g fifth to make it a Yamaha swee p. Bradner led the second moto until Brewer emer ged from Bradn er 's shad ow and took th e lead ~ and rnoto wi n. The o verall went to Bradner with a 1~2 score over Brewer 's 4~ I score whi le Everhart garnered third overall. David Hill too k the lead in the first 250cc No vice moto a nd stretched out h is advantage while J ason Everhart searched for a line past the Honda of Nick Allen. Hill led until the fina l la p wh en Lee Mart in came char~ing u p , nd sto le the win.. Everha rt was thud over Larry White and Cliffo rd P ierce. Aga in O lund lat ched on to th e trail of Denton but Mark Porter push ed hard o n h is Su zuk i and was able to .J;;lpitaliz e o n a mista ke by O lu nd. T he Open Begi n ner cla ss was won by Troy Dul leck o n h is aging Honda and he used a 2-1 story to take th e overa ll aw ay from 1-2 finisher Tim Sarginson. T he first moto saw several of th e lar ge-bore machines thrown to the grou nd but no seri ous injuries resulted a nd a ll bu t one ri der in the ni ne-rider field fin ished bo th motos. Sarginson had th e better start and parlayed tha t mov e with careful riding to win the ma la o ver mid-pack starter Dulleck , who wo rked u p to second p lace. In the second mot o th e move to seco nd by Dulleck sta rted ear ly and there was su fficient tim e for th e ·pe rs isten t Dulled. l O reel in Sarginson and take the win.
