Wh en the gat e dr opped on the first 125cc Expert moto, Behr ens lound himself behind Kevin Po pea ko and Brian Battaglia , Behrens moved pa st Bauaglia and set hi s sights o n Popeako. After stalking Po pe a ko lor three laps, Behrens mo tor ed past through the thick sawdust section in 'he back woods. Popeako sett led into seco nd . wh ile Battaglia struggled to ho ld o n the third spot, As the rno to carne to a dose.
