Ronnie Jones cla imed second. the lucky ticket holder, would share the purse with the racer. Jones, Poovey, Carr and Adams stormed into the hairpin turn and first out was Jones with Poovey and iCarr taking the jump right behind him. Carr went wide in the dogleg and Adams moved into third, but as Poovey was closing the gap on Jones, Carr repassed Adams and the finishing order was set, Poovey pressured Jones right down to the finish, but came up inches short, Jones then drew the winning spectator's ticket and he and the spectator split $518. The Pro main required four starts as the first three attempts resulted in spills in turn one. Once underway for good, Adams, as he had done -in the previous starts, took the lead over Jones and the field, minus Carr and Poovey wh o were left in tUI!! one dusting themselves off. Adams stayed in front for the entire 20-lap race bu t the action behind h im 'was fur ious. Jones had to hold off continuous pressure from Kiser to take second. Meanwhile, Carr was charging up through the p ack following his spill. T he H arl eyDavidson factory rider moved up eight places in five laps and by lap 12 he had moved into fourth place. Carr's charge ran out of time a nd the finishing order was Adams, Jones, Kiser and Carr. A special feature of the evening was an "Over 30" Sen ior class race that was won by veteran dirt tracker Johnny Issacs over former Oklahoma State Champion Da n n y Cartwrigh t.
