Brown ' led the next two laps as

too wide and leaving the door open
for Yarbrough, who took over the
lead as Bast also moved past Brown.
On the last lap Yarbrough was in
command,. Bast in second with
. Yarrow moving in to pick up the
third SpoL
Yarbrough pulled the pole position at the start of the Scratch main
and Yarbrough held the inside with
Dou~ Nicol working the outside
cushion as they went through the
first turn. Nicol hooked up first and
moved to the lead down the back
chute with Yarbrough right on his
tail. Bast and Shawn Reppert battled
for third just behind the other two.
As Nicol hit turn three the wheels
went out from under him as he found
a slick part of the track. Yarbrough
slipped past the fallen Nicol, taking
over the lead for good. With Reppert
pressing;Bast was unable to close on
Yarbrough. Nicol recovered but was

with Duane Yarrow squeezed out of
the action. Ingels, aboard his A&A
Racing/Peterich Cycles /Quaker
.State/Champion/K&N Filters/Bellsponsored G-M, was in complete
control after lap one as he raced to
his third Scratch victory in Auburn.
The second spot was up for grabs
as Sisemore and Faria went wheelto-wheel for the four lapper. Faria,
riding the outside, stayed even with
the crowd favorite Sisemore. Faria
took one too many laps on the
outside as Sisemore grabbed the
second spot for good during the last
lap.
Shawn Reppert, sponsored by
Carpenter Racing/Slick Art/Day
Tech Auto/Ice Castles and Smith
Goggles, took the lead from tum one
of the six lap affair, and after fighting
off Sisemore on the last lap, picked
up his first trophy this season. As
Reppert led the pack, Sisemore
worked his way through the traffic
trying to track Reppert down. Flying
with Sisemore was Faria as both
riders worked the inside and outside
around Harlan Bast Jr., Mike Parsons and Robert Curry. Faria moved
quickly in second dogging Reppert
from the outside on lap two. As
Sisemore worked past Bast, Faria fell
off the pace after slipping in the
marbles. Parsons then cranked up an
outside pass to slip past Bart as
. Sisemore moved into catch Reppert.
On the last lap Reppert shut Sisemore down in turn four garnering
the victory with Parsons third and
Bast fourth.
Steve Martynse took over the lead
on lap three of the Division Two
main and held off the charging Joe
Kelly for his win. Kelly pressured
Martynse through the turns on the
last lap as Martynse was able to keep
control for a bike length win.
Dave Worthen led for the entire
five lap race for his trophy in the
Division Three main. Worthen,
riding his best this season, was
smooth and consistent while the
others tried to track him down. Steve
Moore hung on for second and Dan
Wagner in some nice outside riding
placed third.
