Cottage Grove, Oregon 's Tony Graves, who rides for O 'Neal/Maxima/ Pro-Circuit and Roseberg Honda picked up wins in both the 125and 250cc Pro classes after taking three of four motos he competed in. Only Grayson Hart, sponsored by Hillsboro Honda/Malcolm Smith/ P.B.I., was able to snatch away the lone other win as he guided his CR250 to the second moto win in the 250cc Pro division. The first 125cc Pro moto found Graves grabbing the holeshot and going wire-to-wire for the win. Hart, last year's top Northwest 125cc rider, slid into the second place spot on a one-day old CRI25, while behind him were Darren Rogers, Eric Hall and Don Bisceglia. The second race found Graves again loo king strong and taking the win and overall, but the next few spots took a while to figure out. Hall followed Graves on the holeshot and spent the first four laps in the second spot with Rogers, Dana Anderson, Bisceglia and Hart trailing behind. Hall surrendered his second place spot on lap five, as Hart charged through the pack to follow Graves for second in the rnoto and second -o vera ll. Rogers got past Hall with two laps remaining to again take third with Hall and Bisceglia fourth and fifth. The first 250cc P ro moto was another Graves affair, as he led from start-to-fin ish . Rogers a nd H art put on an excellent dice for th e next two spots with Rogers setting up Hart and passing him on th e last lap to take second, while Hart settled for third. The second moto found Graves jumping into the lead , but Hart was bound and determined to take this one aw ay. Hart go t by Graves on lap three and then held on the remaining six laps to take th e victory and second overall. Graves held down the second spot but got the overall with Rogers taking a well-deserved third. (Han); 3. Troy Stewan (Yam). 250 JR 0 ·1 : 1. Shawn Scolari (Yam); 2. Kevin Yeager (Yam); 3. Delacy tried pushing the tape, but it was no help as he was last out of the gate. Sisemore was quickest to the first turn, a wheel len gth ahead of Bast. Ingels held even with Bast through the turn, but still on the far outside. As they exited the turn Ingels tried to move inside, but Bast would not let him get close 10 th e inside groove.
