When th e l25cc final left th e line it was th e Barr's Comp / Scott /PJI Yamaha of Crowe o ut fro n t followed by Yamaha-mounted Todd Wolfe, Stan ley , Shawn Norfolk , and Bellora. Within two laps Bel lora, th e fourth-ranked indoor rider from la st year's ,series, was up to secon d and closing in on the leader. Two more lap s a nd Bellora was by for the lead; a slip by Cro we in a tigh t corner allowed Sta n ley by as well. From th ere it was a race through lap pe d tra ffic to the finish for Bellora while Crowe was able to get back around Stanley for th e runner -up spot. Troy Barth checked in for fourth a t the finish while Norfolk rounded out the top five. Bell ora h ad even less troubl e with Frida y's 250c c m ain, grabbing a q u ick holeshot and lea ding ever y inch of the wa y. Crowe was again second af ter worki ng through from a top five start while Stanley earned third from a m idpack start. Wolfe was fo urth at the checkers wh ile Tim Benisd erfer scored fifth. Bellora and Crowe again domina ted Saturday's I 25cc'Pro qualifiers b u t fo u n d the going a little tougher in the 250cc ranks. Stanley placed his Bu bs Cycle/D GY-backed Yamaha at the fro nt of h eat one whi le Wolfe did th e tri ck in the second run-off. Bell ora dropped his ride lat e in that ra ce an d 'was for ced to ea rn a transfer spot through the consis. By th e time th e I 25cc Pro final left the line Bellora had shrugged o ff h is h ea t race prob lems and went ab out with anoth er start-to-finish win . Wolfe p laced his Yamaha in seco nd on lap one and rem ained th ere all the way into th e p its. Stanley was . again third while H onda rider R ick Pinney took fourth ahead of Greg Cl ark. Bello ra 's chances at a week end sweep of a ll classes look ed good aft er va top five start in th e 250cc Pro fin a l, but a fter three laps Bell ora rem ained in th e sa me fifth positionthat he had started in. Lead in g th e way o ut fro nt was Pinney with Kaw asak i-mounted Steve ~ood a n d Steve Sch ne lyu n in pursuit. Stanley had overcome a poor start to fit into th e fourth pos ition and within two laps he was o n P in ney's fender. The two swapped spo ts just a fter th e halfway m ark bu t St anley co u ld not mak e th e pass stic k and Pinney dr opped him right back to second. Bell ora began to find th e right gear a nd was soon u p to third whi le Crowe was having troubl e m akin g time aft er a lap two Sla ckup. With four laps to go in th e IS-lap race Stan ley put Pinney away for good on the backsid e of the co u rse a n d pointed his ride towards th e checkered flag. Pin ney wou ld h ol d on to seco n d ahead of Bellora whi le Sch nelyu n battled th e late-charging Cro we for fourth. With three o f four final event wins Bellora claimed nearly S1000 in prize m on ey on the weekend while Crowe and Stanley ea ch made upwards of $600.
