The Pa so , wh ich has a claimed dry weigh t o f 407.7 pou nds and fuel ta n k ca pacity of 5.8 ga llons, will retail for $6695. T he wh ite, Limited Edition model wi ll sell for 7195. The a ll- new m odel in Ca giva North Am eri ca 's 1988 stree t bike lineup is a mid-sized , dual -purpose, sing le - th e Cagiva 3501'4. ' T he 1'4 is po wered by a new , 0 H C, 343cc, overhead ca m, fo ur-stroke, four-va lve, sing le-cy lin de r engin e with counterb al ancer. A 32m m Bin g provides carburetion, a nd a Kokusan Electronic CDI gives o ff th e spark. The 1'4 has both electr ic a nd kick sta n a n d th e engine is m at ed to a five-speed transm ission . The powerp lant is housed in a single downtube, doub le-crad le frame. Th e 1'4 's Ma rzocc h i telescopic fro nt fork boast s 40m m sta nch io n tubes. T he Indiana is ca rb u re ted by two 32 m m Bings, whil e a si ng le 36m m De ll' o n o handles th e chores o n the Su per Sport: both bi kes boa st a five-speed transm ission a nd electronic ignition. The FI -S is powere d by a 749cc, SO HC 90° V-twi n with Desm odrom ic valves. It sports two 36m m Del lorto ca r b uretors, elec tro n ic ignition, five-speed gea rbo x, a nd is fitted with Brembo d isc brak es (11inc h, dual di scs in from; a 1O.2-inch single di sc in th e rear). Filling o ut Cagiva's 1988 dual purpose li ne up are th e 650cc Elefant a nd th e Elefant L imited Edition. The Lim ited Ed ition model will be avai la ble in a black a nd wh ite color scheme and th e sta n dard model will come in bl ue a nd whi te. The Elefa nt is pow ered by Cagiva 's familiar a ir-cooled, four-stroke, 90° V-tw in eng ine w ith . Desm odromic va lves, which is fed by twin 36m m Dell 'orto ca rbs. It boa sts a five-speed transmission, elec tro n ic ignition, 9.8 'inch es of ground cleara nce a nd Brem bo single disc brak es, front and rea r. A Marzocch i forkwith 42mm tubes provides n ine in ches o f wheel travel up fro n t, and a sin gle O h lin shock attached to an a lu m in u m swi ngarm gives eight inches of travel in th e rear.
