Behind him positions cha nged wi th every lap a nd fo llow ing Yamamo to to the finish were Mason, ·Ma tson and Hanrahan who recovered from his first lap mish ap 10 finish fifth. In th e Open No vice class Gear Racewea r's Bryan Richardso n continued in hi s win strea k by ca p turi ng his six th overa ll win of th e series. Andy Tresser was in th e third spot on a Ro tax followed by H arley-m ounted jose Agu ilar in fourth. Dave Bostrom grabbed the eight h spot th en settled down to ri de, working his way through the pack. Woody Rogers had th e fift h spot a nd went wi de co m ing ou t of tum two and David R yan , astride his Rotax, went under him.
