GF Racing's Ronnie Jones (16) finished seventh. just ahead of two-
time National Champion Ricky Graham (3); Don Howard (48) took 10th.
Jorgensen, who is backed by Pioneer

Hi-Point/Red Line/Storz. Carr, who
came off the line in fifth, drafted his
way past the front runners to take
lhe lead on lap four. At the midway
point, Jorgenson, Jones and Carr
crossed the start/finish line side by
side, while Boody led Farris and
Gardner Racing's Steve Eklund in
the battle for fourth.
The three front runners swapped
the lead several times in the closing
laps, trading positions .like little
leaguers trade baseball cards, and
when the checkers fell it was Jorgensen holding a slim edge over Carr
while Jones followed in third, taking
the hist direct transfer to the main
event. Semi-bound Farris, Boody and
Eklund rounded out the top six.
