JULY 3 Roy Collin~s piloted his First State Cycles-backed Harley-Davidson to victories in the 500cc and Open Pro features at Middleford's short track. Collings led every lap of 'the 500cc final over Mark Miller, while Miller ha.d his hands full trying to hold off Mike Owen and Guy Stuart. In the Open Pro ranks Miller had the lead going in to turn one, with Collings and Stuart in tow. Collings wasted no time and moved into the lead on lap two, then he and Miller were able to pull away from the rest of the fie.ld. A total of 155 riders joined in the action at Ohio International ,Raceway in Ravenna with the Amateurs receiving nicely designed red, white and blue trophies.
