Ex-motocrosser John Eidenberger powered his Honda Hurricane 600
to a $1500 victory in the AMA/CCS Sprint Races at Grattan Raceway.
After two restarts, the Open Expert
main was finally underway, with
Norris manhandling his Honda into
the premier position. Reynolds, on
the Bonney Race Design's Honda,
fought his way into second with
Russell, Peugh, Henson, john Colton and Huskey crammed together
in tow.

of Caldwell/Elmer Moore/Wendi/
Sam Hutchenson/Ken Lenonsupported Norris and Reynolds
quickly put distance on Peugh and
Henson. Reynolds struggled to find
a route by Norris while Henson
contended with Peugh for third.
Ultimately, Henson put his front
wheel undernea.th Peugh and managed to snag third. Reynolds, however, was having no such success
with Norris. At .the 'checkers, it was
Norris in first, with Miller Products/
K8cN/Team BRT's Reynolds, Henson, Peugh, Russell, Colton, and
Huskey £jlling out the top seven
positions.

Pete Keller maintained a blistering
pace ~o gain the upper hand in the
125'cc 'Experts. In the 125cc B class,
Scott, McPherson made heroic
attempts to displace Richie Reynolds
for hrst. McPherson's endeavors
almost succeeded, until he slid out
while trying to sneak past Reynolds.
McPherson managed to get up in
time to save second, but Reynolds
breezed in for the win.
The Women's class provided fastpaced action this evening as Holly
McPherson and Shauna Pearson
quickly established themselves as the
class front-runners. In the early laps
Pearson and McPherson battled.
McPherson denied Pearson the lead
and turned in some fast laps to win
by a comfortable margin at the
checkered flag.
