Toole tops Forest HiU Trial By Matt Liberatore FOREST HILL, MD, JUNE 28 Cosmo Team Beta rider Bob "Too Tall" Toole shocked current AMA District 7 Expert points leader Brock Sattelmeier with a mree mark victory margin to win the Central Maryland Trials Association's round six of me AMA District 7 Championship Series at Dave BUllon's farm in Forest Hill. Toole's win would not have been such a surprise had the six-foot six. inch rider been aboard his normal mount, a Beta TR33. Instead, Toole brought ou~ his well used and abused 1983 model SWM 350 Jumbo, me same machine he used to win me 1984 AMA District 7 Championship. On vacation from his engineering courses in Oklahoma where he now lives, Toole decided to bring out his SWM for a "fun time," as he put it, "and to see if anybody wanted to bu y it. I never ex pected to bea t Brock." The six-section, five-loop trial set up by Trialmaster, Ray Beck, featured a variety of terrain challenges and when Toole and Sattelmeier hom finished me first loop \Vim nine marks lost apiece, the battle had begun. The two experts traded the .lead and were tied wi th two rides left when Sattelmeier went over the bars for a big five in section five's drop off, the easiest part of the section where he had lost a total of two in four rides previous. Toole only lost two points and the trial was his. .
