-led with five points, Diem had four, Wakefield three and Cliff zero. Lazor looked to have the start wired in the third main, but a red flag caused by Wakefield necessitated a restart. On the restart Lazor got a horrible start and Diem was off and running. Cliff put his Robinson Cycle J awa in second and kept Lazor and Wakefield at bay. With one race remaining Diem now had a one point lead on Lazor. !:':azor had to finish ahead of Diem and it looked like he might as he led lap one of the final main event. It was short-lived as Diem moved past on lap two and secured the victory and the championship. Pat Cliff and Dale Wakefield ended the evening lied for third position behind Lazor and Diem. Many riders, including Randt were seen taking soil samples, since many trail obstacles were hidden by waist high ferns. West Michigan Enduro Riders checked riders both in and out of each section.
