Day Two A steady drizzle all Saturday night made trail conditions Sunday even tougher than the first day, but the time schedule was considerably slower. None of the top riders lost any route points Sunday, making special test scores extremely crucial. Less than a mi le out of the start of day two , riders reached the first special test section, which featured some very slick and muddy trails. Once again, Roeseler cloc ked off the fastest time at 421 seconds followed by Haaker (428), Nielsen (433), Bertram . (437), Fredette (438) and Kadlec (439). Top 125 was Shaun Scarlett at 470, edging Tannock (471) and Miller (478). The terrain test was fou nd about halfway through the first loop, and it featured a hidden, deep and muddy rut that some riders fell into, wasting valuable time. It was Haaker, this time, with the fastest time at 393, edging Bertram by one second. Next followed Roeseler (399), Surdyke (404), Drew Smith (404), Nielsen (404), Kadlec (404) and Dan Smith (410). Marchini was fastest 125. The motocross special , which was the final event of th e weekend, was a fairly short grass track course with mOlOS lasting for 10 laps; five riders to a race. The first moto featured all the 125s, and it was Miller who came from behind to win the moto and take the overall class victory over Scarlett, 3667.1- 3699.55. Tannock finished third ah ead of Marchini and Dan Dillon. Neilson took his moto victory, whi le Roeseler easily topped his race. But the moto of the day was the one Fredette was in . Knowing that Roeseier had a good MX time, Fredette na iled the hoieshot and jammed into a commanding lead, but during the third lap, and in the view of th e spectators, Fredette's KDX locked up tight in a fast straight. H e quickly grabbed the clutch and managed to restart th e bike while it was still coasting.
