After the first loop, Sattelmeier's nearest competitor in the AA class had earned more marks than Sattelmeier would accumulate for the day. Sattelmeier clinched the win by cleaning all sections in the last two loops. Ralph Wright and Rob Toole swapped second and third places on each loop until the final one when Wright's two mark loop earned him the runner-up honors. Norval Wright finished the first loop with a commanding A class lead on his new Beta TR34. Wright not only dominated the Expert A class, but also finished second overall for the day. First-year Expert Tony DeJuliis was unchallenged for second place in the A class. The Intermediate class again saw the intense competition that has been typical since the creation of its class championship. Despite the competition, Tom Donet stunned the class with his best performance to date. Donet led the class from start to finish. Jeff Nash challenged Donet for the lead on the second loop, but finished the day in second. A record Senior class turnout brought impressive new talent to the class. Fred Greenawait and Matt Liberatore appeared to be heading for a ride-off after both cleaned the first loop. However, the second loop took its toll on them as each scored several marks. Greenawait finished first with five marks on the day. Charlie Clements bumped Liberatore out of second place on the last loop. Resuhs 0/A: 1. Brock Sanelmeier (Yam). EX A.A.: 1. sanelmejar; 2.
