Schwartz slides to
Spring Classic win

A crowd of over- 6000 fans jammed the
grandstands at the Orange County Fairgrounds to watch the Coors Speedway
Spring Classic. At the end of the 21 event
program "Boogaloo" Bobby

Schwartz had won th e maIn
event and .had also garnered
enough pomts to be the overall
winner of the three race Spring
Classic Series.
Schwartz and his Silkolene/C.T.I.
Brace/Scar/Hancoc~/Cirello-
backed Weslake made SIX starts on
the track where he captured the 1986
U.S. National Championship. He
won five of the six starts and in the
other he finished last.
The track was extremely wet and
