State Championship at Canyon Raceway. Blose took his Honda Housesponsored CRl25 to the overall win in the l25cc Ex~rt class with a 21 tally over Pryor's. Gear/Scott Young Cycle Supply/Kal-Gard and Kelly's Kawasaki-sponsored Kawasaki, Although Pryor still leads Blose in points with the series half over, Blose is only two points behind. Blose got the holeshot in moto one of the 125cc Expert class and led the first four laps of the nine lap moto, until Pryor motored around Blose on Insanity Ridge to take over the lead. Pryor took the win over Blose with Mike McMullen and Bobby Arnold rounding out the top four, Moto two saw Blose out front once again, but this time, a~ luck would have it, Pryor DNF with a thrown chain on lap two. Blose took the victory well ahead of runner-up Arnold and McMullen. Blose and Pryor squared off again in the 250cc class, but this time Pryor took the holeshot and immediately opened up a six second lead. Blose whittled away at that lead; closing to within a single bike length at the checkered flag. Eric Kirk rounded out the small 250cc class. Pryor was the first to tum one in moto two, but he made a mistake and Blose got by early in the first lap. Pryor stalked the Honda rider probing for an opening big enough to ride through. By lap seven the leaders were deep in traffic and Pryor continued pressuring Blose, When the white flag came out PIlyoJ really poured on the coals, but Blose held on to the finish for the win and the overall victory. 'Pryor still leads the class by a wide margin in points. After the race Blose said, "That was a pretty wild race when we started running into lapped traffic. When I saw the white flag come out it was like the light of day coming up in the morning, I wasn't about to give it up then." Bill Meyer won again in the Old Timers class and lead~ the series by . 16 points over Rick Stepanovic. Larry Noel led the start of moto one with Meyer and the rest of the field in tight formation behind him. Noel faded on lap four when Meyer and then Kennedy passed him. Kennedy out-jumped Meyer down Suicide Hill, but Meyer repassed him on the uphill side. Kennedy came back as the leaders battled up to the checkered flag with Meyer taking the win over Kennedy and Stepanovic. Moto two saw Meyer take the holeshot ahead of John Kelly and Noel. Kelly blasted around Meyer on lap two and opened up a four bike length lead; the biggest gap in ·the entire field of six riders. Noel was all over Meyer for second with , Kennedy charging to ioin the fight. With Kelly's KTM out front, Noel dropped back with Meyer and Kennedy duking it out £01' second on' the last lap. Kelly took the checkered flag first for second overall with Meyer edging out Kennedy for second place and first overall. Wayne Perry was the standout in the Mini Beginner class taking both moto wins over Eric' Fairleigh. Fairleigh leads the points chase with 82 points to Matt Slaughter's 70. Perry is in fourth, Pat McMullen sw.ept the Mini Novice Modified class over Earl Goudreau and Jimmy Mokry.
