Billy CamrelllOpped the Junior Mini class in a close match over Mall Shue. Damon Bradshaw aced the 125cc B Division. Fresh from his successful Florida MX Series campaign and now Hondamoumed. Cantrell holeshotthe opening Junior Mini mota. Shue gated poorly, but had moved up lO third by the end of lap two. Shue wrestled with series poim leader Chuck Shirley (or second spot while Cantrell built up a comfortable lead. Late in the malO. Shue jammed his way past Shirley to finish in second behind Cantrell. Mota two saw Shue nail the holeshot while Camrell (umbled and got underway in about seventh position. Camrell recovered q uickly and secured another second spot. On the last lap. Shue LOok a spill and surrendered the lead and the overall win to CantrelL Shue remoumed to post a 2-2 score (or second spot over Shirley's pair of thirds. Shirley returned in 65cc Mini action and won both matos, maintaining his perfect series record. Bradshaw notched a pair of runaway wins in 125cc B racing while Williams Mutimer tallied a 2-2 score to beat series leader Joel Grant. Mutimer is now tied for second in the' points race with Jason Coleman, who did not stan due to an injury suffered in the opening 250cc B mota. Coleman fell while leading the first 250cc B maio and was struck by an oncoming bike. (::oleman suffered a concussion, but repons that he will be ready LO ride again for the series' final round at Sandhill's MX. Eddie Almond posted a 2-2 score and dropped Coleman to second in the poim race by a 37-poim margin. Gram earned the day's top 250cc B class honors wi th a perfect core. Honda of Raleigh's Tim Huffman cominued his series domination of the Open Amateur division with another I-I score. SCOll Cooper borrowed his dad's 500 and tallied a 5-2 core to net runner-up honors over Alan Hensley. The I25cc Youth Division fealUred close racing between Georgia's Trey Phillips and Mike Brown of Tennessee. EP/PJ-I /Krause-supponed Phillips emerged victorious via his 2-1 tally over Brown's 1-2.-Phillips is the series leader over Brvan Rice, who finished Ihird overall for the day. Brown came back in Senior Mini racing and won both motos. On the comeback trail after an injury seven months ago, Mike Andrews topped the I25cc A class with his 1-2 score. Andrews had to batlle Aaron Bollinger for lhe firsl mala win bUI Bollinger lalercrashed oUlof comention. Gerald Wood won moto two bUI bad a DNF in the opening mala. Mark Spriggle took runner-up. bonors via his 2-4 tally. . Wood came back LO win the 25Occ/ Open A class Wilh a 3-1 score.
