The I 25cc Experts tarted the show with Joe Prosey grabbing the holeshot Coliowed closely by Lynn Kirkland with local Cavorites Clarke and Orr running in third and Courth. Clarke turned up the heat and heand Orr Creight trained to the top two spots on lap Cour. Clarke wa able to hold o[f the charging Orr (or the remainder of the moto. The econd l25cc Expert motowas dominated by Clarke and Orr, who I d the pack to the top of the start hill and held them at bay Cor the entire moto. Thepairdueledea hotherand opened a commanding lead on Travis Daniels who Cought hi way in to third in the moto. When the gate Cell to release the 250cc Experts it was Kunh Fahnestock, Jim Young, Craig Brooks, and Robert Huston in the top Cour. The battle pitting some oC the top riders Crom the two districts in Pennsylva· nia was under way. Huston soon developed mechanical problems and D F. Fahnestock grabbed the lead with Brooks and Jay Dean in hot pursuit. The moto finished with Fahnstock taking the victory Coliowed by Brooks, Dean, Young and Mark Leffler rounding out the top Cive. The second 250cc expert moto was dominated by Fahnestock who grabbed the holeshot and didn't look back. Poter Payne finished second and Young was third at the finish. Jarid Banks started his motorcycle racing career with a second in the 60cc Novice behind Gabhart's Kawasaki while Jeannie Pruill smoked the BOcc cla s with John Hiebo III and Steve Hiebo in se ond and third places, respecti vely. Jim Ricci looked good enroute to the win in the 250cc Novice class aboard his Suzuki. Ron DiNapoli had to settle for second behind Ricci just in front of Rick Solano and Reggie Ki ttrelle. The Open Novice class was goodsized with Mark Allen taking the vic· tory. ] e[f Elgersman took second over Elmo Alvernaz and Art Anchondo. In the Expert class former Grand National Champion Eklund conducted lessons in how to go fast and look smooth and easily took the win.
