Logger 100 HS By Curt Comer MAPLESVILLE, AL, JAN. 25 The 7th Annual Logger 100 Hare Scrambles had to be shortened to 80 miles due. to the conditions which resul ted from a week olrains and cold weather. The challenging trail was made increasillgly more difficult each lap with some of the mud holes being practically bottomless. Kev·in Hines forged his way through the sloppy condi'tions for the overall win. The 6O-degree temperature at the start did not last as the thermometer fell throughout the day and left riders competing in below freezing temperatures before the finish. The Perry Mountain Motorcycle Club must be praised for putting on such a quality event in very inclement conditions. Hines took his KTM to the overall win in just under four hours. Also KTM-moumed and second overall was George Waller Jr. while Cun Comer was third overall and first 25Occ, followed by Terry Me;1lcr. Early leader Dwight Rudder and ISDE rider David Craine both went out with mechanical difficulties on the first lap. Results OVERALL; 1. Kevin Hines (KTM). OPEN A: 1. George Waller, Jr.; 2.
