bike, rode a 450cc Honda and led most of the race only to be passed on the last lap by Sherry Friduss on her lOOOcc MOlO Guzzi. In the Novice classes, Louis Wells dominated all four races he entered with easy victories in Endurance Class 4, Production 4 Novice, Cafe 4 Novice, and GP 4 Novice. Gary ~I took his Sunnyslope Honda-sponsored Honda CR500 to the overall victory in the Expert class and Drey on his Sunnyslope Honda/Hallman/ Smith/Bell and Young Cycle-sponsqredHonda CR125, took third overall and first in class. The Dircks later teamed up to win the two-hour Team race by 30 seconds. Gary took away Brian Pryor's holeshot on the second lap of the onehour plus one-lap race. Dircks proceeded to open up a comfortable lead and cruised home to victory. Pryor worked hard for the entire race to hold off Drey Dircks' 125. Pryor and Dircks were never more than a few seconds apart. They even pitted together, took on gas and left simultaneously. Pryor took a well deserved second overall at the finish for first in 250cc Expert. Drey's third overall finish garnered first in the 125cc Expert class. Chappy Blose had a good day with an excellent ride to fourth overall for second in the 125cc Expert class.
