Gary ~I took his Sunnyslope Honda-sponsored Honda CR500 to the overall victory in the Expert class and Drey on his Sunnyslope Honda/Hallman/ Smith/Bell and Young Cycle-sponsqredHonda CR125, took third overall and first in class. The Dircks later teamed up to win the two-hour Team race by 30 seconds. Gary took away Brian Pryor's holeshot on the second lap of the onehour plus one-lap race. Dircks proceeded to open up a comfortable lead and cruised home to victory. Pryor worked hard for the entire race to hold off Drey Dircks' 125. Pryor and Dircks were never more than a few seconds apart. They even pitted together, took on gas and left simultaneously. Pryor took a well deserved second overall at the finish for first in 250cc Expert. Drey's third overall finish garnered first in the 125cc Expert class. Chappy Blose had a good day with an excellent ride to fourth overall for second in the 125cc Expert class.
