The new track owners are hoping LO re-establish the LexingLOn track as one of the finest facilities in the nation, not only for the amateurs but for ational competition as well. Graham's double class sweep began .n the 250/0pen A class, as he led the field of 15 riders through the long uphill start. Greg Wheeler, Carl Hand and Jeff McCune followed Graham tlu:ough the first turn and the first two la ps. -Kawasaki Team Green rider Dale Spangler routed his KX past McCune and Hand LO challenge Wheeler for second. With Graham out to a 10 second lead, Spangler took hold of second as Wheeler faded LO midpack. Graham was first through the checkers with Spangler following. Suzuki-mounted McCune was third followed by Hand. The second moLO was a repeat of the first, as Graham grabbed the early lead and Spangler once again working tI,rough the field of riders to finish second. Hand and McCune battled once again for the third and fourth spots with Hand racing through the checkered with McCune on his rear wheel. Graham, McCune and Spangler took LO the track again forthe l25ccA class. Spangler grabbed the lead LO start the first moLO with McCune and Graham behind. Graham took a spill halfway inLO the first lap making way for Kawasaki-mounted Barney Barnett. Two laps later, Spangler encountered problems and fell back LO sixth place. McCune jumped LO a quick lead as Graham routed past Barnett into second. Spangler joined the front runners and battled with Barnett for three laps before he was able LO take hold of third. McCune' LOok the win with Graham finishing less than a bike length ahead of Spangler with Barnett finishing fourth. Graham went unchallenged in the second mota, as he grabbed the lead followed by McCune, Spangler and Barnett.
