A few laps later, Ceccetti was in third and looking for a way around both riders on his old RM 125. In the back whoop section, Ceq:;etti held his throule to the stops and squeezed past Dietz for second. Now working on Tait, Ceccelli passed on the whoops section one lap later. Cecceui was first under the checkered flag followed closely by Taitand Dietz, who was a couple of corners behind. In molO two, it looked like Dietz would ace out Ceccetti's chances for the overall when he went down in the whoop section on the last lap. Tait rode across the finish line for second and Buck Burnen finished third. Randy Lewis stomped the Vet Pro . troops. Jim Theys followed in for second overall and Tony De La Torre, collected the third overall spot. Riding a borrowed KX250, Bakersfield racer Lee Wilson won both 250cc Junior motos in a convincing manner to take home the overall win. In 250cc Junior moto one action, Brad Beaman grabbed the lead with fellow Lompocian, Kenney Milsaps in second. Jimmy Dobbs was slug-' ging it out with Wilson, who was' suffering from a bad start in third. Flying over the doubles, Wilson leaped past Dobbs and aimed the KX250 towards first and second place riders Beaman and Milsaps. Entering the wide open sweeper, Wilson roo.sted past both riders and into first. Wilson pulled away to win with Beaman and Milsaps collecting second and third. MOlO two was a Wilson cakewalk as he hojeshot the troops and never looked back. Milsaps started in second while Beaman ballled with John McCauley. Beaman got by McCauley in the garden section of the course, and evemually passed Milsaps at the end to finish second. The 80cc Junior class was won by J.R. Ceccelli on his YZ80.
