BrumweU held on for the moto win with Olsen second and Munson third. Moto two became a baule for the overaJi when Olsen and Munson waged a war by the midway point in the 30-minute race. Munson pressured Olsen the remaining six laps and waited until the final lap to make a move when - Olsen bobbled. allowing Munson to take the lead with the flag in sight. Munson went 3-1 to win over Olsen (2-2) and Brumwell (1-3). Series champions were crowned for the 1985-86 season which saw Han earning the overall number one Pro plate and Darren Rogers taking home the numero uno spot in the 125cc Open Amateur ranks. Women's Novice Tina Zahn surprised everyone, especially herself, by laking the holeshot and scampering to a three bike length lead out of turn one. Zahn's glory was shon lived_ She elected to go cautiously over a pop-up jump and was still on the other side when Lori Hedstrom hit it hot, went high in the air, and came down right on top of Zahn. They were uninjured, but were in last by the time they got rolling again. Mindy Smith had a last-placedslan, but was moving up fast when Zahrt" and Hedstrom went down. Smith took over the lead and motored on for the win. Kathy Jo Ehrp and Angie Sellers had a banle going for most of the race for first in I Ill.' Novict' ranks. Another +30 Expen, Terry Davis. was right behind and swooped into the lead almost immediately. Davis·went righton for first place Vet. The Beginner class was a real circus' with over 60 bikes going around the track at more or less the same time. _ The 500cc class rider Ron Sherman led the pack for several laps with Eric Strand right behind. Todd Krost was first 250cc bike 0(( the line and stayed there, until lap fi\'e when Karl Allen finally broke free of the horde and slipped by Krost for the lead.
