I Barrow wheels to Sturgis HM win By Karen Lewis STURGIS, KY, AUG. 17 Joel Barrow was unstoppable in half mile action at Sturgis today. Barrow adapted quickly to the rough track conditions in taking wins in the 65cc and 125cc classes. jarred Barrow led the 65cc final umil the last lap when brother joel took over and held on to take the win. Barrow led the l25cc main with Mike Mayer in hot pursuit. Barrow opened up a litlle breathing room in the late laps to cruise in for the win. Mayer was a safe second with Tommy Hayden gelling third after outgunning Bobby Dowell and Danny Estep. Denny Williams led the Open class umil SCOll Lamb brought out the red flag on lap three. Williams wem to the front once again on the staggered restart and never looked back on his trip to the winner's circle. ScOll Rothchild and Phil Jones were going all out for second until Jones had to settle for third on his brakeless Can-Am. Lamb put in a good ride to come to fourth, nipping Robbie Ray at the flag. Tommy Hayden smoked the 80cc final with a flag-to-flag ride on his Earls Racing Yamaha. T.J. Burnell was the only man to keep him in sight in taking second over Crystal and Marc Galloway. james Hart led the Amateur final from stan-to-finish in taking the win. Roy Hart had started to reel him in until Rick N bcaught fire and moved Hart back to third. Jim Smith and T.J. Burnell rounded out the top five. John Camp was on the gas and'ran away with the Automatic final. Jenny Hayden and Robbie Ray freight trained to second and third while Nick Hayden grabbed fourth over Neal Galloway. Mome Starks was a straightaway ahead of the Jackie Brown, Kevin Woodruff ballie in the 200cc class. Brown and Woodruff swapped positions every lap with Woodruff winning the drag to the flag for second. Eric Estep rode to fourth.
