Dave Daub outdueled Pete
Danestrom to capture the 250cc
Amateur class as Southwoods
MX fough t through another
rainy day, its third straight this
summer. Daub and Danestrom had
each won their qualifying heat to set
up their duel in the final and when it
was all over, Daub had taken the
checker for the win. Mike Baldwin,
who followed'Daub across the finish
line in the qualifying moto, wound
up taking third overall with a 2-4
day.
Kurt Renzland showed he is back
in shape as he captured the 125cc
Expert class with a 2-1 day. Remland, last year's number one plate
holder, has been plagued by injuries
for over a year bpt his performance at
Southwood proves he is ready for the
