Edge ANCHORAGE, AK, AUG. 17 Kevin Schaub and his Pennisula Honda CR flew to the Pro and 250cc Expert wins in Alaska Motorcycle RacingAssociation at Kincaid Park. Just as he has done all season Schaub devasted the 250cc Experts by easily wirming both motos. Schaub had some pressure in the Pro class from Kelly Butler, but took the overall with a 2-1 finish. Butler on an Anchorage Cycle Sales Yamaha pulled the first Pro moto holeshot with Schaub close behind. On a sandy S-tum at the beginning of lap two Schaub took a wide line while Butler stayed on the 'berm. Butler must have seen Schaub and gassed it too hard sending him down. Butler's bike flew in front of Schaub causing him to bai,l and it was a race to get back up. Schaub kept his bike running and the clutch in to join the race in second. Kawasaki of Anchorage's Pat Crabb now had the lead. Butler remounted but was in midpack. It wasn't long before Schaub passed Crabb for first. The whooped-out S3!1.?sct~~}h~ ~~e~.ro o~l~! mas! ri.9!Js and'soon Butler passed Crabb also.· Schaub started lapping riders by the 'molO end and it slowed him down enough for Butler to catch up. With two laps to go Schaub and a lapper collided allowing Butler to take the lead. Schaub saved it, but just ·couldn't make up the gTOund and had to settle for second behind Butler. Crabb finished iil third. Moto two was Schaub's revenge. From his holeshot to the checkered £Jag Schaub blew his fellow Pro rid- . ers away. Butler held down second, but never challenged Schaub. The moLO ended with Schaub ,winning the overall and Butler in second. Crabb was once again third. The 250cc Expert class was uneventful as Schaub took both moto wins with no problem. The major race was for second which went LO Gear Racing-sponsored Greg Chatterton. Chatterton is just coming off of bad injuries sustained in a pre-season practice crash. Chatterfon spent most of the first moLO dicing with Pennisula Honda's Ken Conde and Suzuki Motorcycle & Marine's Canyon Hansen. Chatterton finished second followed by Hansen then Conde. '.
