By Bill Holt WAPELLA, IL, JUNE 29 Dave York waited until the 18th round of the D-17 Dirt Track Series at the BNMC Scrambles Track to roll his Honda out of mothballs, and there· were quite a few 250cc and Senior class riders that wish he had left it there. York cleaned up in those classes to be the only two-class winner of the day. The threat of rain blew over just in time to save the perfect condition of ·the H&:H Track Service-prepared track from ruin at the start of the Mini heats. The first of the many Anderson Kawasaki sponsored riders in the field to earn a win was Bart Schmulbach in the 125cc class. Schmulbach, Dave Stanfield and Danny Shoufler had a three rider battle throughout the race, finishing in that order with Scott H wf fourth and Doni Holeman fifth. The 25OcC£inal saw the long-legged Honda of York roar into turn one in front of Darv Hinshaw and Schumlbach. The riders battled around the track for the entire final with none finding room to pass. They finished with York taking the win' ahead of Hinshaw and Schmulbach. You can win with MS Products. look for 'em at )'Our local dealer MS Racing. 7563 Indiana Ave.. Riverside, Ca.
