a nice move on Geary to advance a notch on the same lap. On the next lap McDonnell moved into fourth and started to pressure Yeo. Schnitzer was running hard as he moved into second behind Green. With one lap to go McDonnell went under Yeo in turn one, but Yeo repaid the favor in the switchback. Coming down to the checkered £lag it was Green and McDonnell going under Yeo and winning by inches. Wilson, Fisher, Adams, Hewitt, Waggoner, Geary and Frohs followed. In the first 750cc Pro-Am heat race it was Wilson taking the early lead ahead of Larry Legarra, Green, Schnitzer, Ryan Fisher, Marty Zerbel, Adams and Wheaton. In the sweeper Legarra went under Wilson and Green was right behind him. Legarra looked good for three laps and then Green found an opening and blew by. On lap five Schnitzer edged Legarra out on the straightaway. At the finish it was Green, Schnitzer, Legarra, Fisher, Wilson, Zerbel, Adams and Wheaton. In the main event Wilson took the initial lead followed by Schnitzer, Green, Legarra, Zerbel, Adams and Wheaton. By turn two Schnitzer slid under Wilson and took control of the lead, but it didn't last long as Green charged through both riders and started a disappearing act on the group. Wheaton slid out on the switchback and restarted shortly, but then he retired for the evening. Meanwhile, Green was looking absolutely £lawless. Schnitzer caught up to him a little in the turn one-two sweeper, but Green just blew 'em away on the straightaway. Back in the middle Wilson was all over Fisher. It took several laps before Wilson finally made a pass stick. With two laps to go Legarra got by Schnitzer. Coming down to the checkered flag it was Green doing a wheelie the entire straightaway, then Schnitzer, who snuck under Legarra by inches, then Wilson, Fisher, Zerbel and Adams. Results 80: 1. J.P.
