THE NISSAN 200 8astbombs Napa Spdwy July 12 and 13, 1986 By Bill Spencer NAPA, CA, JUNE 21 Bart Bast came up best in Scratch racing at the Town & Country Fairgrounds for Saturday night Class A Speedway with steady Eddie Ingels the Handicap winner. It was a team oops Scratch main though, as first, Pat Linn busted the tape and then an itchy Ingels joined the big-time man in the pits. The lans weren't too happy about a two-man race and when jim Sisemore slam-dunked himself in turn three of the first lap, well it was a comical relief to what started out as a great show. A&: R Racing Services Ingels started out the night with some great action working hard, on the outside, for the first Handicap heat race win over Greg Mart2 and jeff Brown. It was a close three-man race for the second heat with Mark Dragony holding on for the checkers over the Volcano , Kids, Steve Martin and Sisemore. Mike Delacy had his first ride come to a dose in heat three while it was Bast riding off with the win over Andy Gilbertson and Marc Prince on the Napa Valley Yamaha Special. Linn was awesome with his usual 'outside riding style that won heat four over Richmond Yamaha/BMW/ jawa mounted Mike Parsonsand Kid Curry, back from a knee wrenching incident. Ingels was a big timer in the first Handicap semi with Brown transferring with Martz in what amounted to a survival course for equipment. Curry handled the second semi on the B &: W Machine Shop Special with Bast and Pat Linn keeping a tag score for the main. Curry settled in for the main after some yardage addageIor a quick start with Greg MartZ as company, but it was Linn and Ingels on the move with Bast pushing hard for the last Laguna Seca Raceway, Monterey, CA ACamel Pro Series National Championship • The Bell Superbike Classic On Saturday THE MEN: .Is The NislIIII 200 has been the sh_ for the of both the best rideB in the Urited States and the best Ameriams lIIllIlI8Iing in EUllIfI8 IIIld we expect 1986 to be 110 dillEnt.
