No matter where you live, chances are, there's a Super
Highway nearby that leads the way to the beautiful
mountains of Pennsylvania and Pocono Raceway for the
Camel Cycle Jam.
Located at the "Crossroads of the East," the Pocono
Mountains of Pennsylvania are interconnected by a network
of Interstate highways with all points on the compass.
From the North, Interstate 81 provides the way to the
Pocono's, with Interstate 80, 84, 78 and the Pennsylvania
Turnpike leading the way from the East. Interstates 95, 81,
83 and the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike
provide easy access from points South, with Interstates 80,
70 and the- Pennsylvania Turnpike linking the Pocono's to the
West.
And once you get to the Pocono's you'll find one of the
accommodating resort areas in the nation, as well as some of
the most beautiful scenery. With miles and miles of roadway,
many of which twist and wind over and around the scenic
mountains, the 900 square mile Pocono Mountain Resort
Area is a biker's dream. Cool mountain breezes and
congestion free, open highways let you get the full
enjoyment out of your bike.
As a resort area, the Pocono's offer everything from luxury
hotels to quaint "Country Inns," as well as numerous campgrounds, and condominiums or house rentals. Restaurants of
every description can be found, off~ring everything from
burgers to gourmet extravanganzas.
And for non-racing activities, the Pocono's abound with
golf courses, lakes, tennis courts as well as water skiing,
boating, fishing, ice skating, white water rafting, amusement
parks, waterfalls, Camelback's Alpine and Water Slides,
miniature race cars at Action Park, and plenty of nightclubs.
So when you make your plans to come to Pocono Raceway, for the June 22 Camel Cycle Jam, plan to spend a few
extra days enjoying all the Pocono Mountains have to offer.
You'll be glad you did.
