Lucero in second. Lucero was followed by Walt Farnum and Jim Sisemore, who were having their own battle for third place. Sisemore got by Farnum on the second lap coming out of turn four with Farnum trying to go under him going into turn one; Sisemore closed the door on him. Meanwhile, Ermolenko was pulling away from Lucero, who was pulling from Sisemore. Sudden Sam took the win by half a straightaway over Lucero. On the Handicap side of the program, Farnum took the lead in front of Billy Gray. As they came out of the second turn, both Jimmy Odell and Louis Kossouth dropped under Gray, pushing him back to fourth place. Kossouth went by Odell going into turn three. Sisemore was on the move as he moved from last to fourth in two laps, then went on by Odell as the twO crossed the start line for the third spot. Farnum's motor blew on lap three, leaving Kossouth to hold off Sisemore. Kossouth went wide in the third turn, letting Sisemore by for the win. Kossouth was second followed by Odell and Ed Castro. Ken Bidny came off the zero yard line to grab the lead in the Second Division main with Joe Bishop in second. Bishop made it as far as the third turn when he fell, letting Bobby "Rush" Tocco and Bobby Simmons by. Tocco was taking only his third ride of the year after breaking his wrist at the end of last year, but showed that he had not lost anything in his riding, he and Simmons went handlebar-to-handlebar. On the second lap, Simmons got by Tocco but Tocco did not let him pull as he stuck to Simmons' rear wheel. Simmons and Tocco were gaining on Bidny, who, with one lap to go, drifted wide in turn three, letting Simmons by for the win. As Tocco went by, Bidny cut down on his line, making Tocco shut off. Bidny was second with Tocco third. Dave Perry won the Third Division main over Greg Wood. Results SCRATCH MAIN: 1. Sam Ermoleoko (Wes); 2. Steve Lucero (Wes); 3. Jim Sisemore (Wes). HANDICAP: 1. By Bobby Lewis EDDYVILLE, KY, MAY 10 Round 13 of the Western Kentucky Competition Riders Association's '86 season saw a strong program of short track racing take place at Eddyville. The Lyon County Fire Department produced a well-groomed track that held up well. Robbie Grief rocketed off the line in the combined 60 and 80cc class final and went on to win by a large margin. Aaron Ladd followed him across the line to grab top 60cc honors. Tommy Hayden put his Earl's Racing Yamaha in front of the 200cc class final but by the end of the second lap, Scott Lamb had dispatched him to second. Devin W.oodruff dropped Hayden back another spot on the next lap. Lamb, on a P&E Racing Yamaha, was beginning to put ground on the field with Woodruff breaking away from the Hayden/Jackie Brown battle for third. With just two laps to go, Woodruff went down and the finishing order read Lamb first, Hayden second, after Hayden held off Brown at the line.
