Vendetti came out the victor and charged LO pull up behind the leader. The twO immediately left the pack, Burrell held up LO the presswre Vendelli poured on until they caught up lo lapped riders near tbe end of the mota, Burrt'll's bike slipped out from under him as he wellt inw a berm, Vendelli pulled around LO take ovn the lead. Burrell was back on it in a flash, but his· hopes for a first place finish faded. Vc'ndelli took his Suzuki in for the win, forcing BurrellLO S('[Ill' for third, while Brown, who had worked his way up through the pack, weill in after the Ieadn to take se('ond. WaringlOn and Colbert were out in front as they charged down thc' straight away at the stan of mow two, but Pingel beat them out of the holeshot, as he went around them and into the first turn. The leader pulled away, but not without Warington and Westbrook close behind. The three continued lo space themselves -funher Out in front of the pack tl.lI'oughout the mota. In the last lap Westbrook was giving it all he hail and lost it. He was far enough out front lo be back up and on the gas without loosing his third-pla('e position.
