The race was 15 laps. with Lojak leading Bash o r through the barrels several times. Bu t Lojak never was able to take advantage of h is YZ250's superior power. T h e five-mile course twisted up and down tree-lined hills, and criss -crossed severa l small streams. A field of over 100 ride rs began the two-h o u r trek o n th e motocross track . before ducking into th e woods. Bashor led 250cc A class winner Tom Marchese.
