The clearan ce between th e lo wer right side o f th e tank a nd th e exha ust p ipe is a little tight, so so me kin d of h eat padd in g must be used between the tw o to keep the ta n k fro m m elt ing . The wheels n eed a tte ntio n also . It 's a good idea to paint a dark, wide stripe across th e rim in th e va lve stem area so it can be located quickl y; and duct tape sh o u ld rep lace th e rubber rim stra p. This cu ts down tim e when cha nging a tire. Our CR enduro bike performs as . well on th e tr ail as it does on a motocro ss track - excell ently. Ste ep hills are a cinch on th e'CR with its power ful and torquey motor. It has p lenty of power to get th e job done without a traditional , peaky I 25cc powerband. The add -on spark arrester o n th e An swer P roducts silencer doe s ro b some power, so if th ere's no spar k arrester requirement in a particular riding area, rem oving th e spark arrester will improve. pe rforma nce. But th e CR isn 't a whole lot of fun to plank aro u nd on for a long period of time. It' s still a 125ccand prefers to be revved, which is good for qua lifi ers where speed is one of the o bjects. Bu t it does have eno ug h torque and low en d for tight and hilly sections, and it doesn 't have a tendency to suddenly lose rpm a nd fall off th e pipe all th e time. Qu ick servicing is the CR 's biggest disadvantage compared to stock en duro bikes, su ch as cleaning th e air filter or chan ging a rear tire, U n fortunatel y, there isn ' t much tha t ca n be don e to improve th at sit ua tio n . Cl ean ing th e air filt er requires seat removal. An awkwa rd wing-nut holds th e air cleaner element into place. The rear wheel takes much more time to remove and mount co m pared to a Husqvarna, wh ich has a quick-change rear wh eel set-u p . Th e H onda ha s spacer s and nu ts to worry a bo u t. Even though o u r CR was bu ilt with th e ISDE in m ind, we wouldn 't hesitat e to enter it in a local en d uro , in th e 200cc cla ss, since it 's light a nd has as much power a nd a lm os t as mu ch lo w -end a n d to rq ue as, fo r exa m p le, th e Kaw asa ki KDX200.
