Can-Am rider Nolan Knight turned in another excellent score of three points to take second place overall. jeff Plunkett and Fitl Miller both scored four point losses to take third and fourth overall. Overall B honors went LO Mark Dunaway, who rode his Honda wa five point score. Ove.rall C honors went to David Walton. National AA rider johnston complemented the Louisiana Trail Riders Association on their event by remarking, "It was a greauun. I didn't find any problems with the course. There was no reason to throw out any checks." One AA rider had protested the fifth check along with several other -riders, complaining that there we.re no turn arrows on a section of pipeline, which cost them points when they got lost. Trailmaster lonny Kemp took the AA rider to the spot in question, where they counted II turn arrows and Ws after the turn. The rider couldn't understand why he had missed them. Only a handful of score cards turned in had been scored with no early points. Over half the riders had early points on at least one check. Many riders busted two checks, and some even busted three checks. One of the early hecks caught riders by surprise as they blasted across a sand pit, then around a corner and across a fairly deep creek right into the check. 0 slow ridi ng ,imo., this. dlfi'.ak.pGLnb
