McConnell used a 1-2 core to nab first-place laurels in the lass over Honda-mounted Ed Jensen, ho posted 2-3 rides in one of the best aces of the evening. McConnell rashed late in rnoto two, which anded Dana Anderson (H o n ) the in, but Anderson had a moto one NF and was out of the overall picure. Third brass went the way of arren Rogers (Hon), via 3-4 rides. Another brilliant performance was urned in by local rider Dan Gregory, inner of the 125cc C and 250cc C inals, which wer e the largest classes f th e evening at 21 and 23 riders, espectively . In th e 125cc C final , i t as Gregory jumping out to a n earl y ea d over Kawasaki rider Sean Rieserer, Dan Beyer, Scott Garrison and ast night's winner, J ohn Gregson, II aboard Kawasakis, Gregory pulled way while Riesterer rode all alone in econd after Gregson made a charge ut bailed off. Garrison held o n to hird at the ch eckers behind winner regory . and second-place finisher iesterer, but ahead of Paul Rosenow Kaw), and Suzuki rider Brian Burnide in fourth and fifth . . The 250cc C final had Gregory ush his Detroit Lake Marina-spanored Yamaha into the lead after oming right back from his I25cc win. regory had the lead all to himself nd looks to be a good bet for a movep to the B class soon. Yamaha rider obbie Wilcox held last night's 250cc winner Ron Stevenson at bay the ntire rnoto to nab second-place brass head of Honda rider Don Schnieder nd Jay Laudagin. Gregory wasn't the on ly rider on and to win two classes in the prorams, as Washington's Scott Tyler gain proved to be too much for the ornpetition on the Hi-Point Yamaas. Ty ler captured the 250cc and OOcc Pro classes for the second night n a row, again tallying I-I rides in ach event. In the 250cc class Tyler ve a lesson to his classmates in the gony of defeat to hold off Oregon's on Bisceglia (Yam) and Canadian rry Visco (Abbotsford Kaw ), who ade the trip down from Vancouver, rirish Columbia. Tyler had an easy ime winning both contests for a I-I emolition over Bisceglia's 2-2 and isco's 3-3. Undoubtedly the best race of the vening was in the 125cc Pro. Just ike last night, Salem's Kenny Olsen ATAK/O'Nea IlKaw ) was the overII winner with 1-2 rides. Olsen held ff teammate John Woodley (Ka w), onda speedster Mike Bell, Grayson art (Kaw) and Visco, also aboard a awasaki, for the first rnoto laurels. oto two was much different as Bell ulled the holeshot and never relinuished his lead. Bell, still pumped rom his top-20 finish in the 125cc ro-Am class at the Seattle Kinglome, rode a magnificent rac e, beat.n g a dejected Olsen in th e moto, but Dlsen took th e overall ca sh payoff Nith his 1-2 rides to beat th e 3-1 tally >f Bell.
