After bo th motos were ta ll ied , the ha rd -ri ding N ielson had earned a trip lo m e wi n ner 's circle. Vowell claimed seco nd overa ll, MeGi n n is wa s th ird . wi th R o bert so n a nd Sh ields roun di ng out the top five. Alt hough Vowell fi nis hed close beh in d N ielso n in th e 250cc P ro contest, he was the one to beat in the 125cc P ro cl as s.
