Amara l worked h is wa y up from fourt h to ta ke second at th e checkered flag. Chappy Blose ran strong early in th e ra ce but had problems with his Honda, which forced him back to fifth. Scan Davis managed third o n his Eastside Cvcle Yam aha. Ha yes wa s 'the quickest in moto tw o a n d was n e ver c ha lle n ge d throughout the moto. Blose gassed it up and sprinted into second behind Hayes. Third spot went to johnnie Deren o with Amaral gelling fourth . Amaral's 2-4 finish gave him second overall. David Crabb took th e ho lesh ot in mota one during the 125cc Beginner race. but Bren t Hunan passed Crabb and his Ka wasa ki ea rly in lap o ne when Crabb went down. Crabb qu ickly remounted without losing a position , while jon Christley was ru nning in third. Crabb regained his composure and got his wh eel in front of H u tto n 's Kawasak i, but Hutton came rig ht back . Crabb fin a lly passed Hut to n once m ore to ta ke the chec kered flag a head o f Hu tton and C hristley. Crab b led ea rly in mota two. but his Kaw a saki seized solid o n lap three.
